Range Valley – Round 11 – Uni

Welcome back to Range Valley, population 7,650.

So, I still don’t really like playing uni. I am probably going to introduce new rules in round 12 to address this. For now, let’s see how our uni-bound sims paired up.

Pearl Zeelan and Lainey Masters have been together for a long time, and quickly re-commit in college.

Lainey proposes. The girls have been together since they were young teenagers.

The haircuts were too samey, though, so Lainey let her hair out of the ponytail, and cut it.

Maia Kearney brings her boyfriend, Rowan Fairfax, to uni with her. They are still attached at the hip.

Maia’s twin, Jonah, also cements things with his high-school sweetheart, Tessa McKinley.

Tessa’s twin brother, Felix McKinley, also sticks by his woman, Dagmar Masters.

Dagmar’s sister, Jeannie Masters, gets to know Eliseo Ramirez. The two vaguely knew each other as teenagers, but are much more interested in each other as young adults.

This is an ACR match up, by the way. I love ACR.

And Eliseo is a Family sim, so he puts a ring on it immediately.

Jeannie’s cousin, Casey Parrish, gets to know Ivy Zeelan pretty well.

But also flirts with Romance sim, and Ivy’s sister, Opal.

We’ll catch up with everybody next round, as they move into their own homes after graduating. Quite a few people didn’t pair up, as they’re waiting for their other halves to grow up.

Range Valley – Round 11 – Slaughter

Welcome to Range Valley, population 7,500.

Mary Slaughter graduated university last round, and has updated her look a little bit. She is a knowledge sim, with some interesting parentage.

Mary is on a mission. And Christopher Seiff here is just the first part. Oddly enough, Christopher doesn’t look too enthralled with Mary’s conversation.

Still, Mary is able to keep his attention in different ways.

But Mary is not a one-person kind of sim, and she is quick to re-introduce herself to her previous housemate, Ridley Gaither.

Relations are quickly re-established.

The next night, Mary has Christopher move in. Since he has been a townie since the beginning of Range Valley, he has a ton of stuff in his inventory. Mary sells it all immediately.

Unfortunately for Christopher, he doesn’t get to enjoy his new-found playable status for very long. He sees things the mind just can’t cope with seeing.

Results are… predictable.

Mary watches on as the Grim Reaper processes Christopher’s death. Like father, like daughter.

After a fun morning of digging a grave and filing the death with the local authority, Mary invites Ridley over, and finally experiences love. She becomes a Romance secondary.

She also discovers that she is pregnant, but her shirt won’t show it. One outfit change later, and she invites the father of her child back to the house.

Ridley was looking like he was going to end the round without being a father, but oh well.

Mary gives birth alone, but not too concerned about it. Death is a mere trifle to her, so life isn’t that much more intense.

A boy! Who is creatively named Damian.

And a girl, who is named Lily.

With the babies now on the outside, Mary changes back into her previous outfit, and makes the moves on Weldon Downie.

Romance sim Weldon is easily convinced that this young, attractive woman is just desperate for his company. Aaminah Lee keeps her eyes forward, and reminds herself that she saw absolutely nothing.

Mary takes the time to write in her diary. Weldon has a little time. After all, he has his uses.

Weldon cares for the children, whilst Mary looks for her next victim, both for babies, and for… Other uses.

Mary meets the hobby instructer who replaced Holly Tang. He is cute, so keep him in mind, I guess?

Next on Mary’s baby hit list is Jacob Dallas, who has already provided genetic material for two children. It might just break his little mind if a third makes an appearance, though.

Birthday time!

First Damian!

Then Lily.

Eesh. Remind me to change Mary’s workout wear. That really doesn’t scream “daughter of death” to me.

Mary continues her moves on Jacob, but he is currently terrified of having a child, so I’m not sure whether to prioritise her wants over his or not…

We leave the Slaughter family here. Weldon is not “family”, and does not appear in the picture.

Range Valley – Round 11 – Jitmakusol

Holly Jitmakusol has returned from university. She’s living in a small home currently, awaiting the final calculations of her parents’ estate, and life insurance. Once that money comes through, Holly will have a few more options open.

So entertainment has to be cheap. Luckily, there are two options open at the moment. Holly definitely prefers Jacob Dallas, and maybe if Jacob were different, things could mean a little more.

But they’re not exclusive, so Holly also makes the most of Ridley Gaither.

ACR is punishing this generation heavily, and I’m not going to lie. I love it.

Jacob is shocked by this news. Shocked! Despite the fact that he has already fathered a child this round (Mae Dallas, his daughter with Sunniva Akagi).

Still, it’s not like he can make the situation any worse!

Jacob is a frequent visitor to the house, and Holly rolls wants for him constantly. No wants about marrying him, but plenty about being around him.

Holly is also struggling to find a job in the athletic career. She wants to be a Hall of Famer, but it’s just not showing up. Still, for the time being, she writes articles for SimCity Times.

Holly goes into labour on her own, in front of the windows. Nice.

It’s a boy! He has his grandmother, Emily’s, blonde hair! Holly names him Dylan, but unlike Sunniva Akagi, she doesn’t give her child Jacob’s surname.

Dylan hasn’t put Jacob off too much. He still frequently comes over.

They’re like a proper little family. Except not.

Dylan’s birthday rolls around, and before Holly knows it, she has a toddler! Now the house feels far too small, and she desperately needs her inheritance to come through.

Dylan’s pretty cute, and looks much more like a Dallas than a Jitmakusol.

Sunday, Holly invites Jacob over for breakfast, and lays her cards on the table. Jacob does the same, and in the end, the two decide to part as friends. Whether they will stick to it or not is a different matter…

We end the round here for the Jitmakusol family!

Range Valley – Round 11 – S. Akagi

Welcome back to Range Valley, population 7,350.

No summary picture this round, as it’s a new family.

Soren and Caoimhe met at university, and quickly fell in love. He’s a Knowledge sim, she’s a Family sim. It’s a combo that tends to work.

Sunniva, Soren’s little sister, also joins them. She updates her look a little bit.

Now that the couple are established, Soren proposes. They’ve both had the want for a while, and Caoimhe wants to get married.

Sunniva wants to max 7 skills, and to get a job in the medical career. She seems like she’d be a doctor, so off she goes.

Whilst Soren starts work in the dancer career. Caoimhe will be a stay at home mum, since her LTW is to graduate three kids from college.

Caoimhe pops! I love ACR.

And the couple marry. Caoimhe takes Soren’s surname.

Sunniva is making good headway in her career, but is starting to feel a bit lonely.

I don’t even know why Jacob is here, but Sunniva is quite taken with him.

Sunniva initiates for her first kiss.

And people in Range Valley do nothing by halves, so the two immediately head for the sofa.

After Jacob leaves, Sunniva maxes her last skill, and becomes perma-plat!

ACR’s risky woohoo may be set a bit high…

And confirmation. Caoimhe starts chatting nursery plans and names with her sister-in-law.

Sunniva invites Jacob over and breaks the news. For some reason, he brings Ridley Gaither with him?

Ridley is more enthused than Jacob.

“Aw, you can feel it kick. Put your hand here, Jacob.”

“Uh, maybe later?”

But later may have to wait! Caoimhe goes into labour, and Jacob sneaks out of the house. Sunniva may have some regrets.

It’s a boy! Meet Leo Akagi, who has red hair! His grandmother, Kendra, had red hair before it went grey, and Caoimhe’s grandmother, Kelly, also had red hair. So did her PT parent.

And a day later, Sunniva goes into labour, too!

She gives birth to a little girl, named Mae Dallas.

Jacob is invited over to meet his daughter, but he doesn’t seem too thrilled.

Still, he feeds her a bottle, and has a cuddle with her before he heads home.

Birthday time! It’s Leo’s birthday, and I’m crossing my fingers that he’ll be cute.

Caoimhe does the honors!

Oh my gosh, he’s adorable! Leo is hella cute.

Leo has some Smart Milk, and starts learning to walk.

And Sunniva comes to terms with being a single mother. She adores Mae.

We end the round here for the Akagis, with Sunniva contemplating moving out to give her brother’s family room to grow.

Range Valley – Round 11 – Voorhees House

Welcome to Range Valley, population 7,350!

No summary picture, as we’re starting a new lot. There are a lot of romance sims this generation, and I’ve converted a nice lot for them into shared housing.

Moving into Voorhees house this round is Christy Zaidi, Jacob Dallas, Ridley Gaither, Cillian McKinley, and Katrien Shibata.

I’ve set Jealousy rates through ACR, seeing as this house is pretty much a free-for-all. Katrien and Jacob have a thing, but they’re certainly not exclusive.

Christy and Ridley are, in Ridley’s words, Semi-Exclusive. Which means that he still cheats, but he’s careful.

Cillian is expecting a child with Ruby Kearney, but that doesn’t stop him from succumbing to Katrien’s flirts.

Christy wants to be a Hall of Famer, and quickly finds a job in the athletic career.

Jacob finds a job in Law, and Katrien in Game Design. Neither of them have job related wants, but they wanted these careers, and bills don’t pay themselves.

Christy hints. I kid, Christy was promptly put on birth control, because she strikes me a very motivated, disciplined person. Katrien not so much.

Holly Jitmakusol is invited over, as Jacob has a want to fall in love with her. Which he promptly does.

He’s not the only one.

Cillian finds a job in the paranomal career. He is going to have to support his baby once it’s born, and he can’t do that on positive thoughts alone.

Jacob is a popular man. He reaches the top of the Law Career.

Christy is also making good progress in her career, and brings home an extremely pregnant Rosemary Rasmussen.

Whoops! I can’t remember who needed the logic point, but I am kind of regretful now. Poor Katrien is whisked away by the curious residents of Space, Idaho.

They are kind enough to return her.

Cillian returns home to chaos.

Well, there’s a bun in the oven. However, I play with lullabyes off, so I don’t know whether the father is Jacob, Cillian, Kyoshi, or someone a little further away from home.

Katrien and Cillian get to talking a bit more. Katrien has had a very difficult morning sickness, and finds it difficult to keep up with her Romance sim wants.

Katrien pops. Cillian passes along some tips and tricks from Ruby to help her with the pregnancy.

Cillian has not been having a nice time lately. He gets the flu, and is quarentined in his room, because I am not having him turn into a little plague machine. Plus, he has a lot to think about, right now.

We end Voorhees House for now.

Range Valley – Round 11 – Landry

Welcome back to Range Valley, population 7,300.

Last round, Celeste met Kennedy. The two got on like a house on fire, and Kennedy moved in. They are expecting a child together.

Celeste is still working on her career. She wants to be The Law, and being pregnant has really held her back.

And Kennedy is making himself useful around the house. The couple are planning on having him be a stay at home dad once the baby arrives, to allow Celeste to carry on with her career.

Celeste gives birth early in the round.

It’s a boy! Little Aubrey is basically a clone of his dad, which is a bit disappointing, because Celeste is beautiful.

The little family settle into a routine, and Kennedy finds a position in the Oceanography career. But he is happy for his career to take a back seat to Celeste’s, for now.

It’s Celeste’s first day back at work after maternity, and Kennedy has a surprise for her.

Celeste accepts, and admires the ring.

Kennedy and Celeste are pretty cute together. I hope they have more kids.

It’s little Aubrey’s birthday! Kennedy takes him to the cake, and Celeste hides behind the fridge.

Aubrey still looks a more like his dad. The children born in Range Valley recently all seem to take after their dads.

Celeste gets to teaching Aubrey to use the potty. He is less enthused about it.

But he allows his dad to teach him to walk.

Celeste returns home from work with her promotion! She is now perma-plat, but absolutely exhausted.

And the couple quickly marry. Kennedy takes Celeste’s surname, as Aubrey is a Landry still.

Speaking of Aubrey, take one last look at him as a toddler!

Aubrey is very cute! And he was such an easy toddler, considering.

And Kennedy can start working on his own career. His favourite part of the day is coming home to his boy.

And it looks like there’s another little addition on the way!

Aubrey is very interested in art, so I bought him an easel. He’s been painting pretty non-stop since.

We leave the Landry family there, waiting on their next little bundle.

Range Valley – Round 11 – B. Lee

Welcome back to Range Valley, population 7,200.

Kim and Ben Lee. Not pictured: Keturah.

Last round, Kim gave birth to Keturah, the Lees first child.

The Lees have been joined by Ben’s little brother, Morgan, who has returned from Uni. He is very fond of his little niece.

And it’s a good thing he did move in. Kim dies for some reason(?!), but Morgan is able to successfully plead for her. I have no idea what this was about, to be honest.

It’s fine. We try the birthday again, and Keturah ages up into an interesting little girl with her great-grandmother’s red hair! Seriously. Ben’s grandmother, Amaya is the only redhead in Keturah’s ancestry. Love it!

Ben reaches the top of the Education career, and is now perma-plat!

And Morgan meets Holly Tang. The two get on very, very well.

Very well.

Holly goes in for the first kiss! And I decide that this has to happen.

After Kim’s brush with death, the couple decide to expand their family a little more.

Morgan, that is your brother’s bed, and that is gross.

Morgan falls in love with Holly, and invites her to move in.

Holly, post makeover. She is a Knowledge sim, and wants to become Chief of Staff.

Kim pops! The Lees are expecting another addition.

Ben teaches Keturah to walk as Kim watches on. This pregnancy has been tough on her.

15.jpgMeanwhile, Morgan was climbing the ladder in the Entertainment career, and has topped it! I just apparently didn’t take a picture of him applying for the job. Whoops.

To make up for it, here is Holly applying for a job in Medicine.

Keturah ages up! She’s very cute, and I love the re-appearance of the red hair.

Aw. Kim is very close to giving birth!

Here we go!

Another girl! This one is named Persis. Also, she was born at a weird time, so ages up very quickly after birth? I don’t think she even had a full day.

Still, Persis was a baby for long enough. Morgan and Holly are very much in love, but are still only in discussions about taking the next steps.

Yeesh. Dean’s genetics really did a number on this family. And I’ll be honest, I didn’t take many pictures of Persis. She was just very odd looking.

Kim and Ben are very happy with their girls, but are thinking of adding a third child.

But it looks like Holly and Morgan might beat them to it.

Morgan decides to take the plunge, and proposes to Holly. She accepts.

Persis ages up, and is actually pretty cute! I’m sorry I made fun of you as a toddler, Persis.

And we leave the families here. Kim, Ben and their girls will move out, as their family needs a bit more room.

And Morgan and Holly will stay, as the house is big enough for them, for the time being.
