Range Valley – Round 10 – Lee

Welcome back to Range Valley, population 4,320.

We return to the Lee household, where Lacey is sporting a new hairdo. Was it time for a change? Did I faff about with my CC and ruin everything? Who can say?

“I can. You faffed.”

Anyway, Joseph and Lacey have a baby fast approaching, and I want him or her to have Joseph’s surname. So one quicky marriage later, we have Mr and Mrs Karimi.

Cake was even provided for the event. Just kidding, no cakes for weddings, only for babies.

Aaminah helps her little one get a bit less little.

And then Auntie Lacey helps style Zahra’s hair for her.

Lacey goes into labour, and Joseph and Luca are quick to rush to her aid. Or to stand around freaking out and trying not to get birth goo on Joseph’s work suit.

It’s a girl! Meet Rosalind Karimi, who is blonde, like both parents.

Rosalind is introduced to her older cousin, and left here for a bit. It’s a Range Valley parenting technique.

Luca assists his little daughter with learning her words, and the importance of yanking on rabbit ears, should the opportunity be presented.

Rosalind’s birthday fast approaches.

Oh my lord. Dean’s features did a number on this town. Poor Rosalind.

“Oh, you say this about all the Lee grandchildren, and they mostly grow up cute.”

There’s another Lee grandchild on the way, at least. Hopefully, this one fares better.

Despite her horrific ugliness, Lacey adores her little girl, and teaches her to talk.

And Zahra grows up on me without me noticing. She looks adorable!

And can rush out to give her dad hugs when he gets home from work, which is one of my favourite interactions.

An interaction she will soon have to fight for! Aaminah gives birth, attended by her husband and an unfeeling world.

Welcome, Samiya! Another little girl, this one without alien eyes. Variety!

Rosalind sneaks out to chase fireflies, as she has become one of their kind. Because I forgot to smart milk her earlier. Whatever, it’s her birthday.

“Am I cute now?”

Uh. Sure. Solid 4/10.

“Hurray! Just under average!”

It’s Samiya’s turn!

Well. Damn. Those Lee cheeks will haunt my nightmares.

Luca is an attentive dad, who helps with Zahra’s homework, and shows up to her classes all the time, even though it’s not careers day, and he keeps wearing his magician outfit, and the other kids are starting to say things, and you can’t pull a witty comeback out of a hat, can you dad? Can you? *sobs*

“Daddy, is she projecting?”

“Yes, sweetheart. Just ignore her, and we’ll pop a blanket over her head later. She’ll think it’s night time, and go to sleep.”

I like this household. Both sets of parents teach and help out with both lots of kids. Very communal.

She did it! Lacey finally becomes a Hall of Famer, and becomes perma-plat!

And what better way to celebrate than to paint the porcelain green!

Lacey shares the news with Joseph, and the two start to pick out names.

We leave the Lee-Karimi family as they plan for their futures, and the arrival of the next baby.
