Range Valley – Round 9 – Bellamy

Welcome to Range Valley, population 3,560.

When last we left Sadie Bellamy, she had gotten a job in the Science career, and was still seeing casual flame, Sam Parmeley.

But nothing stays simple in Range Valley for long, and Sadie finds herself pregnant. And she offers Sam a choice. Either stay with her, and be faithful, and help her raise their baby, or cut ties now. Sadie saw her parents divorce, and though her parents are happy now, with new partners, the heartache was painful at the time. She won’t experience it again.

And Sadie wants things to be official. She wants a ring on Sam’s finger, and vows he will take seriously.

He accepts, and they marry. Sam Parmeley becomes Sam Bellamy.

To show his commitment, because Sam does love Sadie, a lot, he picks out his secondary aspiration – Family.

Even so, when Sadie is at work, Sam calls up his old flames. That’s just until the baby is born, though. He’ll stop once the baby is born.

The days progress peacefully, with Sadie studying for her last promotion, and Sam reading up on parenting, in anticipation for the newest Bellamy’s arrival.

It’s always sooner than you think! Sadie goes into labour.

And gives birth to a boy. He has dark hair, like both his parents, and his father’s eyes. He is named Kester.

Sam takes to fatherhood surprisingly well. He had a want for a baby locked when Kester was born, and though he always has a want hanging around to kiss, or woohoo, or something like that, his focus seems to be on his wife and son.

Sadie returns from her first day back at work after maternity leave. She is promoted to Mad Scientist, and achieves her LTW. Her new LTW is to Max 7 Skills, which should be easy enough – she only needs two mechanical and two charisma points.

Sam also comes home with a promotion! He is now a Cult Leader!

Kester’s birthday arrives fast, and Sadie helps him with his cake.

Kester looks more like May than his parents, I think? I am bad at this kind of thing. In any case, he’s pretty cute.

Excuse the lack of ceiling. Sadie achieves her LTW to Max 7 Skills. Her next one is to become Hand of Poseidon. Unlikely, since she doesn’t have a fishing badge, but we’ll see what we can do.

And out of the window was Sam’s ride to work. The Bellamy family is doing rather well for itself.

Sam continues to be a great dad. He teaches Kester to potty and to walk, and to enjoy being flung at the ceiling.

I add a pond to their home, and Sadie gets to work on her fishing badge.

Little did I know that she and Sam had been getting to work on something else, as well.

Sam is enthused, and promptly rolls a want for another baby. We will return to the Bellamy family next round.

After this picture of Sam being chased by BEES! of course.
