Welcome back to Range Valley, population 69.
When last we left the McKinleys, Kate had moved out after Kelly replaced her bedroom with a nursery for the new baby. Baby Poppy is going to be a slighty bigger baby now!
I realised I was terrible, and didn’t get a picture of Poppy’s face until her next birthday. So enjoy this out of order picture of Poppy.
And the next McKinley baby makes its first appearance. I also realised that Kelly had chunked up, and as she’s working on becomming a Hall of Famer, she wasn’t happy. Seriously, as soon as she gained weight, she kept rolling a want to get fit again.
The McKinleys received a gift! And my choice is pretty obvious.
David wishes for peace of mind. I will still work on his want (6 grandchildren), but he was never going to get there on his own. His other two wishes are for money, and I add a second storey to the house.
Kelly goes into labour in the kitchen.
A miracle! A boy born in Range Valley! Okay, slight exaggeration maybe, but there are so many more girls than boys in Range Valley. In fact, I think he is the only one who isn’t a Lee. Meet Jack McKinley.
Poppy is taught all of her skills by a doting father and a somewhat interested mother. David constantly rolled wants for Poppy (and to have another baby. Not sure about that one). Kelly didn’t, really.
Poppy grows up into a pretty cute kid!
Kelly is more willing to interact with her daughter now that she is older, and more able to look after herself.
And David is the stay at home dad, and takes care of Jack. Didn’t redecorate the nursery, though. I feel like Kelly would prefer the pink and ruffles.
Jack ages into a pretty cute toddler, and again, David provides the majority of his care.
Poppy builds snowmen, and gets a snow day! Unfortunately, my laptop does not like snow, so I have to have it turned off. 😦
Poppy found a number in the stack of phone books kept in every house, and tries it.
“We could be best friends! My friend Lilias is best friends with all of her sisters!”
“I’m not sure if that’s a good idea, Poppy. Dad and I don’t get on too well, at the moment.”
“But I can still phone you and talk, right?”
“As long as Dad and Kelly don’t mind.”
Poppy agreed. After all, if her parents didn’t know she was calling her sister, they couldn’t mind.
Jack’s birthday came by quickly!
He’s pretty cute! I love the brown hair and brown eyes combo!
“Can you keep a secret, Jack?”
“I’ve been talking to Kate!”
“Sh! Mum is just behind us!”
And the round ends with Poppy continuing to talk with Kate.
And a proper friendship between two sisters.
